Adult Portraits
This is a portrait of my father, Joe. It is a 14" x 11" oil on canvas. He had died several years before. Before he got very sick, he and my mother took a trip to the mountains. She snapped a picture of him standing on a mountain, looking toward the sun. I painted this portrait from that photo. I presented it to my mother as a Christmas present. That was in 2005. This was one of those painting that just worked. I was able to paint it in about three hours.
